While not having any true endemics, several several Yucatan Peninsula endemics are easily found here. Black Catbird, Yucatan Jay, Yucatan Vireo, Orange-breasted Falcon, and Agami Heron are some of the sought after species often sought and found in Belize.
Belize is an English speaking country making travel much easier for those North American travelers who are not bilingual. Prices are still relatively inexpensive and right now very little of the tourism industry is operated by multinational companies. Most lodges and services are operated by Belizeans or expats who are Belizean residents.
